OUR STORY
Identifying the Gap
Healthcare is entering a new era in which increasing numbers of people are living independently while managing long-term conditions, neurodivergence, dementia and complex care needs within their communities. At the same time, the responsibility for delivering care is becoming increasingly distributed across families, unpaid carers, professional carers, health services, local authorities and voluntary organisations.
Despite this shift, the systems supporting care have remained largely organisation-centric, with information fragmented across disconnected platforms, paper records and informal communication channels
Early Foundations
My Virtual Carer began by helping families and carers organise daily routines, appointments and care tasks in one place, reducing reliance on memory, paper notes and constant check-ins.
But as adoption grew, so did the insight:
